Under general supervision, teaches and instructs pupils in culturally appropriate academic, social, behavioral and other educational skill areas; counsels, disciplines and supervises to meet the individual needs of assigned students; evaluates student performance and progress as required for state and federal accountability.
The Director of Student Support Services will have the primary responsibility of providing leadership and direction for the Muckleshoot Department of Education (DOE) overseeing all programs Birth to 22 years old including: Special Education Services, 504 Accommodations and Gifted Talented programs. This position is expected to work cooperatively with all leaders in the DOE in providing leadership in the areas of program compliance, curriculum, instruction, communication, staff development, post-secondary transition, and fiscal management to link Support Services with general education programs.
Under general supervision, provides specially designed instruction to pupils in culturally appropriate academic, social, behavioral and other educational or functional skill areas; counsels, disciplines and supervises to meet the individual needs of assigned students; evaluates student performance, monitors, and reports progress as required for state and federal accountability.

Primarily responsible for administering all aspects of school operations related to student learning through high expectations for staff and students. Develops and evaluates the overall curriculum and instruction programs. Focuses on student success through culturally relevant curriculum, instructional programs, professional development, student proficiency and progress towards on time high school graduation. The Director of Teaching and Learning (Lead Teacher) collaborates with building principals on the supervision of Teachers and Instructional/Support staff.
Under general supervision, provides professional speech, language and hearing services to students in assigned Tribal program(s).
