Under general direction, plans, directs, manages, coordinates, and supervises programs for the acquisition, utilization, maintenance, repair, and replacement of vehicle and equipment fleet for the Muckleshoot Tribe.

Required: Two-year degree, from an accredited college, in business, management, engineering, or a closely related field; three (3) years increasingly responsible fleet maintenance experience that includes a year of lead/supervisor experience. A combination of education and/or experience and/or training that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the essential tasks of the position may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Skilled in: Written and verbal communication; operating standard office equipment, including personal computer and applicable software; supervising employees and/or contractors; project management; budget management; organization and time-management.
Knowledge of: Principles and practices of management, organization, and supervision; business practices applicable to fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and inventory control; procurement practices and procedures; vehicle safety regulations and applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to: Organize, implement and direct vehicle maintenance operations and activities; perform a full range of vehicle and equipment maintenance duties; supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff; develop cost estimates; maintain confidentiality; comply with applicable laws, ordinances, policies, and regulations; maintain professionalism; analyze and apply critical thinking, investigate alternatives, and apply solutions; work independently; establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; talk and hear; reach with hand and arms and/or grasp with fingers; bend, stoop, or climb while evaluating vehicles; use hands to operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Continuously uses vision. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 30 lbs. May be exposed to inclement weather, moderate to loud noises, and moving mechanical parts.
