Under general supervision, trains, supervises and works with a crew of Tribal youth involved in various work assignments and activities for the Tribe.
Graduation from high school or equivalent and 1 year of experience working with tribal youth.
Knowledge in:
Safe and proper care and use of tools and equipment;
Safe work practices and procedures;
Supervisory techniques and practices.
Skill in:
Oral and written communication;
Organization and time management and Interpersonal and human relations;
Supervising and working with youth in a positive and confident manner;
Basic mathematics;
Operating hand tools and power equipment;
Performing minor equipment maintenance and repairs;
Recognizing safety hazards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet ad or humid conditions. The employee occasionally is occasionally exposed to arums or airborne particles.
