JOB SUMMARY

This position supervises residents of the Adult Recovery House, a 24/7 residential facility for patients in early recovery from addiction.   

 

*Must be free from substance absue for the last two (2) consecutive years

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Calls in resident prescriptions; monitors and documents resident medications.
  2. Performs various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing, creating files, making copies, and ordering supplies.
  3. Cleans resident rooms as they become vacant.
  4. Conducts observed UAs.
  5. Conducts census reports on all residents in the building and observes security cameras throughout the shift; completes incident reports as needed.
  6. Attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and online training as required
  7. Creates a weekly chore list for all residents and document the completion of assigned chores.
  8. Conducts orientation for new (resident) admits.
  9. Conducts offsite house checks.
  10. Must adhere to the NAADAC/Behavioral Health code of ethics.
  11. Assists with Clean & Sober Home activities and duties.
  12. Attends weekly staff meetings at the Adult Recovery House.
  13. Through telephone calls or home visits, interviews and identifies clients’ transportation or social service assistance needs.
  14. Informs clients of available services and refers to the appropriate service provider or community resource; assists clients by filling out forms and advocating or intervening on their behalf, if necessary.
  15. Transports and/or accompanies clients and/or families to obtain medical and/or substance use treatment or other required services.
  16. Conducts periodic home visits to monitor client needs.
  17. Organizes and participates in community events; attends various committee meetings.
  18. Maintains confidential files and records.
  19. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all protected health information in accordance with the Division’s Policies and Procedures, and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  20. Executes weekly van inspection and ensures it has fuel and is safe to drive.
  21. Facilitates individual and group sessions with a focus on life skills and independent living
  22. Perform other duties as assigned
  23. Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Six (6) months of related experience in a community services organization are required.
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist by the Washington State Peer Counselor Training Program at the time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION

Skills:

  • Oral and written communication.
  • Problem-solving and client interviewing.
  • Working with diverse populations.
  • Microsoft office suite

Knowledge:

  • Substance use disorder and social services resources.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, drive, walk, stand, communicate with other employees and vendors, is required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and operate computer hardware systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Considerable stress may occur. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. The employee will work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
