The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports patient care within the Health Department of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe by performing clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical clinic setting. This position works under the supervision of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, or physicians to deliver safe and timely healthcare services. The LPN plays a critical role in triaging patient concerns, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining organized and clean workspaces. The role also includes performing direct care procedures such as administering medications, taking vitals, and conducting phlebotomy. This position requires a compassionate, adaptable individual with strong communication and organizational skills. The LPN also steps into Medical Assistant duties as needed to support overall clinic operations and ensure quality care for community members.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed primarily in a clinical setting. Employees in this role are frequently required to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Duties may include assisting with patient transfers and occasionally lifting or moving equipment or supplies up to 40 pounds. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for tasks such as phlebotomy, administering injections, and working with computers. Visual and auditory acuity is required for patient assessment and communication. The role also requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, and occasionally kneel or crouch when preparing exam rooms or assisting patients. The work environment may be moderately noisy and fast-paced at times.
