Work flexibly to provide high quality customer service to applicants for MIT housing programs. Perform technical, administrative and case management duties in determining initial and continuing eligibility of applicants and recipients for Housing and Rental Assistance Programs; counsel applicants and residents on what their rights and responsibilities are and on available support services. Advise participants of applicable Housing policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.

Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Community Development, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Social Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of related experience may substitute for a college degree. Three (3) years of experience in administration of assisted housing programs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
