    Supervises and coordinates the daily functions of Health and Wellness (H&W) IT team to ensure they meet service level goals and provide exemplary support to their clients. Provides tier one and two support to users and serves as an escalation point for subordinate technicians. Coordinates projects and manages vendor relations for H&W. This position is a working supervisor position and is expected to participate in routine maintenance and repair activities.

    Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Health and Wellness (H&W) information technology systems, including servers, storage area networks (SAN), networking components, desktop PC’s, laptop PC’s, printers, peripheral components, telephony systems, audio video systems, smartboards, surveillance systems, and other technology assets


    Monitors and maintains key systems including intrusion detection and prevention, backups, and web filtering. Ensures these systems operate with latest versions, patches, and definitions. Promptly escalates any unresolved issues to the Engineering Services Team.



    Manages all hardware and software assets within Health and Wellness (H&W). Ensures that the Muckleshoot Health and Wellness (H&W) complies with all licensing requirements. Maintains and documents licensing information for all software within Muckleshoot Health and Wellness (H&W). Conducts hardware and software audits.


    Supervises and conducts installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to desktop and laptop PC’s and associated peripherals. Assists the Engineering Services Team in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade to servers, SAN’s, networking components, telephony systems, and surveillance systems.


    Manages Health and Wellness (H&W) IT service requests ensuring timely resolution of issues. Prioritizes service requests based on criticality and impact. Ensures all service requests are recorded in accordance with established procedures, and documents resolution.


    Works closely with Health and Wellness (H&W) management staff to ensure the technology needs of students, teachers, and administrative staff are met in a timely manner. Works diligently to provide superior technology solutions that ensure the highest quality education is possible for Health and Wellness (H&W).


    Manage Muckleshoot Tribal Health and Wellness (H&W) web site ensuring accurate and timely content. Resolves technical issues associated with the web site.


    Conducts technical training to ensure subordinate staff members are capable of meeting performance standards.


    Works with subordinate staff to promote their career development, conducts regular one-on-one performance discussions with individual staff members as well as team building exercises with the entire Health and Wellness (H&W) IT team. Completes performance reviews for subordinate staff, and sets improvement goals.


    Manages IT vendor relationships for the Health and Wellness (H&W). Manages and monitors scope of work for all vendors and ensures vendors meet agreed upon SOW’s, CSA’s, or other contract obligations. Complies with other purchasing standards as prescribed by the IT Director, MTS, and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe (MIT).


    Monitors changes in technology and keeps abreast of latest technology trends and standards. Where practical, implements technology advancements to help increase operating efficiencies and achieve cost reductions.


    Assist in developing and managing the Muckleshoot Health and Wellness (H&W) IT annual operation budget. Implements sound fiscal controls to ensure effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, assets, and time.


    Develops and updates site documentation to include operations and vendor contact information, technical aspects of IT systems, infrastructure configurations, IT policies and procedures, disaster recovery and resumption plan.


    Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.


    Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - Server Infrastructure required. Five (5) years of experience as a Senior IT Technician, or IT Supervisor within an academic environment, Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Server operating systems. One (1) year of experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and VMware.


    Preferred: Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field, three (3) years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and VMware, Apple Certified Specialist, and CCNA.

    Licenses or Certifications Required

    Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Server Infrastructure certification required.
