JOB SUMMARY

The Training Analyst is responsible for management, coordination and implementation of all aspects of training and development programs within Tribal Administration, including needs assessment, program creation and delivery, team facilitation and identification, contracting and management of outside providers. This position reviews and evaluates training programs for an organization to ensure the training needs of the organization are being fulfilled.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Proactively work with subject matter experts, create, design and deliver training programs to management and employees within Tribal Administration, including design and development of training materials, within planned budgets and deadlines.
  2. Analyzes existing training program delivery, content, and aids to measure effectiveness and recommend program changes.
  3. Develops and recommends methods and materials for training staff and may propose new curriculum, ideas for group discussions, demonstrations, and workshops. Incorporates new training methods that may enhance programs and are relevant to company employees.
  4. Provide team facilitation to departments as needed.
  5. Research and recommend external solutions where needed, providing coordination with and management of outside providers when used.
  6. Perform quality reviews of curriculum content and materials, making changes when and as needed to support continuous improvement.
  7. Provide input to the Human Resources Director for strategic and budget planning with regard to the training and development function.
  8. Keep accurate records of training provided, including attendance and expense tracking.
  9. Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION

Bachelor’s Degree in degree in human resources, organizational development, training and development or a closely related field. Six (6) years experience in training and development, adult learning, instructional design and/or related field. Previous experience in a Tribal or governmental environment preferred. ASTD Human Performance Improvement (HPI) certification or ISPI Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The working conditions described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this class. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, crouch, bend at the waist, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to grasp, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.

Licenses or Certifications Required

Current and valid Washington state driver’s license.
